Morley Calvert
Morley Calvert (born June 11, 1928 in Brantford , died September 6, 1991 in Hamilton ) was a Canadian composer and orchestra leader .
Morley Calvert was affiliated with the Salvation Army , but several of his works are based on French and Canadian folk music . He is best known for his compositions for brass blowers . His Introduction, Elegy and Caprice were the duty number in connection with the first European championship for brass band in 1978.
